Neferatiti

I saw a bust of Neferatiti in the Cairo Museum in obsidian and have always wanted to do one like it as a piece for hanging on the wall

"Lady in the Frame"

This is my new piece. Got the idea from an image on the net. Really liked it. I'd like to make a few more pieces that can be hung on the wall. Got some great ideas for more like this one.

"The Gasher" Trophy

This one was another commission piece from a golfer. They wanted a Trophy for the biggest "Gasher".

New Coffee Kiss

I started on the new "Coffee Kiss" I allowed more of my own style with this one not going off the original image but useing my wifes features and a little different in the structure of the spashes, different colour etc.

Odyssey Dreaming

Here is another one I completed recently called "Odyssey Dreaming" is from a book called "The encyclopedia of things that never were" I'm not sure of the real name of the picture but I called the Odyssey Dreaming when I scuplted it. Its actually done in Super Sculpey and finnished in a Metalic copper paint with and ageing agent over the top.

Witana

This bizzare piece is called witana which I made many years ago. He is a charactor out of Aboriginal Dreamtime Mythology called Witana. I can't remember the story real well but he cut himeself and used his blood to make the red ochre and burned himself to make the black. I'm a bit scetchy on these details as I said.

My Dragon

This is one of my more recent pieces , it was an idea I had floating around my head for some time. It did take a long time as I do not have a lot of spare time at home and I ran into a lot of issues like trying to bake a sculpture this size all at once. I had to hacksaw the wings off (as I had made a wire armature) and finnish them seperately and re attach at the end. Before this I useually would not attaemt to paint in such detail preffering to use a coat of metalic paint or use someone else to do the painting for me , but I was quite happy with my finished product.

Coffee Kiss

This is a piece that was requested by a my sister who saw the original and loved it. The piece is called coffee kiss. My wife loved it so much I am makeing another for her. Its great practice to try to creat the differences between the male and female facial features without any of the useual things like hair eyebrows etc. This was the main challenge.
